The view from the Carolina Yacht Club is over the Cooper River into the Atlantic Ocean. The Club's Members have use of a private Boatyard, for dry storage of their boats and trailers along with, floating Docks and Jet Docks.
Each year the Carolina Yacht Club is host to the following regattas… Carolina Spring Regatta, Carolina Yacht Club Invitational Regatta and the Wild Oyster Regatta. Carolina Spring Regatta - Register Here
Previously the annual E-Scow Regatta, this year we welcome the VX One fleet to our annual Spring Regatta. The Carolina Spring Regatta, hosted by the Carolina Yacht Club, is a spring event that attracts competitors from all over the southeast.
Carolina Yacht Club Invitational Regatta
The annual Carolina Yacht Club Invitational Regatta is Charleston's largest summer regatta. It is usually held the last weekend of July. This event gathers 150+ competitors from the entire southeast. Lasers, Lightening's, E-Scow, Sea Island One Design, and Opti's are just a few of the many one design classes that come to race in our regatta. Our annual Commodore's Reception is held on the first night of the regatta and is always a spectacular event for both Members and competitors.
Wild Oyster Regatta
The annual Wild Oyster Regatta is held in the late fall and is only open to the International Lightning One Design class. This is one of the most well attended lightening class events in the nation. This regatta, on average, attracts sailors from the Midwest, New England, and the Great Lakes. The 2014 event attracted 88 competitors that were both novices and professionals. This regatta offers the opportunity to sail against some of the world's greatest sailors in our own backyard.
